I left.
Not with anger.
Not with a big dramatic moment.
I just... drifted.
Like you drift from a stranger you were forced to sit next to.
Politely. Quietly. Naturally.
No one leaves what they truly know.
You only leave what remained unknown.
So the real question was never why I left.
The real question was:
did I ever really stay?
Here's what I mean.
Think about the last person you grew distant from.
Was it someone you knew deeply?
Or someone you only knew by name?
We don't leave people we know.
We leave strangers.
My Lord felt like a stranger.
That's why I drifted.
But then something stopped me.
Why did He feel like a stranger?
Did He never try to reach me?
I sat with that question for a long time.
And then I looked up.
A tree grows in silence.
No instruction. No maintenance from me.
It just knows what to do.
Rain falls in exact measure.
Not too much. Not too little.
Somewhere a desert drinks.
Fruit forms inside skin.
Protected. Timed. Perfect.
The ocean stops at a line it never crosses.
The solar system runs.
Has been running.
Without a single calculation from any human hand.
And me.
Science will tell you this:
the probability of a human being existing
is so close to zero
it shouldn't be written as a number.
It should be written as a miracle.
He was not silent.
He was speaking in everything.
Every single thing.
He just didn't put His name on it.
That was the point.
He hid His face.
But left His fingerprints everywhere.
On every leaf.
On every heartbeat.
On the mathematics of your own existence.
The test was never: do you believe?
The test was: will you look close enough to recognise Me?
Faith is not a feeling.
Faith is not something your parents handed you.
Faith is not the name of the religion on your birth certificate.
Faith is the moment you look at a tree
and know, not just think,
know
that something deliberate is behind this.
Something that loves order.
Something that loves beauty.
Something that loves you enough
to leave you a trail this long
and wait
for you to follow it home.
That's what He wants.
Not your rituals performed in fear.
Not your prayers said in habit.
He wants to be known.
Not as information.
As knowledge.
The kind that lives in your chest.
Not your head.
The kind that doesn't go away when life gets loud.
Because here's what I eventually understood.
A father who loves his child
doesn't follow the child everywhere.
He creates a world where the child can grow.
Can question.
Can get lost.
Can find their way back.
And when the child finally walks through the door
not because they had to
but because they truly wanted to
that reunion is different.
That is not religion.
That is recognition.
And He promised something.
That when you truly know Him this way.
Not by name. Not by ritual. By knowing.
There is another place waiting.
Another dimension.
A meeting.
Where all the signs finally make sense.
Where the trail you followed becomes a face.
Where the stranger you thought He was
turns out to have known your name
the whole time.
I didn't leave my Lord.
I just didn't know Him yet.
And He was patient enough to wait.
Read it again.
But this time don't read it as a religious text.
Read it as a mirror.
Whatever you call your Lord, whatever name you give to the force behind all this, ask yourself one honest question.
Do you know Him? Or just know of Him?
If something moved in your chest while reading this, that movement has a name.
