Sometimes,

the deepest grief

is not rejection

from the world.

It is watching

someone you love

slowly walk away

from something

you hoped

might help them.

You explain.

You wait.

You call them gently.

You try not to force.

Yet people choose

what feels familiar.

Even when it hurts.

And maybe

that is one of the hardest things

love teaches us:

Love is powerful.

But it was never control.
