Most of us think we're reading a book.
Page after page.
Chapter after chapter.
We assume we're the observer.
Safe.
Outside the story.
Then, without noticing, something shifts.
A decision feels familiar.
A conversation reminds us of a scene we once read.
A mistake suddenly has a name.
The story isn't sitting on the page anymore.
It's sitting in us.
Maybe that's what separates information from wisdom.
Information gives us something to remember.
Wisdom gives us a different way to see.
The words never changed.
The reader did.
Perhaps the greatest books don't ask us to admire their characters.
They quietly ask us which one we've become.
If this question follows you after you close the page, I'd be glad to meet you again in the next reflection.
