There are people who spend their lives carrying things that don't belong to them.

A courier never writes the letter.

Never decides who should read it.

Never chooses how it will be received.

The responsibility begins with the package.

It ends at the doorstep.

Nothing beyond that was ever theirs.

Life becomes strangely heavy the day we forget that.

We begin carrying reactions.

Opinions.

Outcomes.

Other people's decisions.

As though they were quietly added to our delivery bag.

The message was spoken.

The kindness was offered.

The truth was delivered.

Then came silence.

Sometimes gratitude.

Sometimes rejection.

Sometimes a door that never opened.

None of those moments changed what the courier was sent to do.

That's where so much of our exhaustion begins.

We mistake another person's response for our own responsibility.

The bag grows heavier with every unopened door.

We start checking it at night, counting what wasn't accepted, replaying the tone we used, wondering if a different word would have made them answer.

The package sits there, untouched, and somehow we are the ones losing sleep over it.

But the package was never ours to open.

Only ours to carry faithfully.

Every faithful courier eventually learns the same quiet freedom.

A delivery can be successful, even when it is refused.

The destination was never the acceptance.

It was the doorstep.

If this stayed with you a little longer than expected, I'd be grateful to have you with me for the next one.
